So far I've tried a few things to no avail, i'm wondering if anyone has/knows of a pattern that can work up on fairly larger needles? I've looked at the magknits pattern but can't justify using size 3 needles. I have size 7 and 10 dpn's and would like to work with those.

Adjust the pattern to your gaudge? Or you could just create your own and knit a swatch and do some measuring of a cup and a little math (a lot less hard than you would think, I finished a teapot cozy of my own design not too long ago by doing this)
