This past summer, DH and I took a road trip to the East Coast. One of our many stops was to the site of Woodstock in Bethel, NY. It's just one of those things that we find fascinating. Well, the DH really liked the design they used on the posters (there is a hand-stitched flag with this design in the museum at Bethel Woods), but they didn't have any t-shirts with that design (that he liked). So, of course, I say "I think I might be able to do that; I've seen them do it on Craftster!"  Cheesy

Anyway, he's getting these for Christmas. I just used freezer paper to make the stencils, and acrylic paints with textile medium to fill them in. I had a little bit of bleeding under the edges of the paper, and my stencils didn't line up perfectly...but, my DH liked how they turned out.

Any comments and criticisms are welcome!  Smiley Thanks for looking!

It's gorgeous!  And it's folk art so it needs to have some imperfections!  Such a classic design and you did a great job with it!

I love how you placed the design on the shirt.

I love how you placed the design on the shirt.

Thanks! I had a hard time making a decision on that. I just traced the design off of the poster, so it was pretty big. Too big, I thought, to center across the chest.  Undecided Also, by putting it off-center, I don't have to get anxious about it being properly centered and level.  Wink
