Completely random question here. I will be going to the UK, probably in October 2011, and for one reason and another have to make myself scarce for a few days while DH visits his mother. Back when I used to buy every UK stitching magazine on the market I remember there used to be stitching or crafty weekends at country houses and I always wanted to do one but now I can't really find any even after a long search of Google. Can anyone help me out with a little gentle guidance? Do such things even exist anymore? FWIW, I will consider any craft at all.

Where abouts in the UK will you be?

This might help, also here and here and here.

Hope that is a useful start, if you have any questions about distances / travelling from a to b etc just shout.

Thanks Trekky, those links will be really useful. I will be in Liverpool, but really I can get almost anywhere by train as the British rail system is pretty good (though I bet no one is thinking so right now). I saw there was a nice looking weekend thing in Preston, but that might not actually be far enough away. Smiley

Hello

Glad to be of help.  I also forgot, there is also Higham Hall in the lake district, I know some people who have been there & had a great time.

Yeah, Preston isn't too far away from Liverpool - that can obviously be a good or a bad thing!  Smiley
