So I'm a bad granddaughter, but a great daughter (more or less). My mother loves Christmas more than life itself. It's always been a huge deal for her, she loves to decorate, go look at lights, the whole deal. My grandmother, however, is...I don't want to say evil. I do, but I won't. This year my grandma (who lives with my mother. Thankfully I live a few states away) informed my mom that she shouldn't bother putting up a tree or decorating this year because she didn't feel like bothering with anything "festive" (not that she ever does, she's ruined more than one Christmas).

Naturally, I scrapped the cowl I was going to knit for her and stitched this up instead...

Not my best work, but I hope she likes it  Wink

ETA: the pattern is modified from one I found in the book 'A Rainbow of Stitches'.

Very cute! I hope your Mom has a nice Christmas, in spite of living with a female Grinch!

That is so cute!
Does your Mom have a car? Maybe she can decorate that like crazy and park in on the street in front of the house.

Thanks everyone!

auntiem- She went ahead and put up the tree/decorated anyway. It would have been too sad to see my mom without her Christmas bounty  Cheesy

Cute design.  I love your little bow.  I have a crabby grandma, too.  We're telling her to suck it up, it's Christmas!

Love the snowman!!  I'm like your mom and love Christmas!!  Can you tell her for me, it's not so much how you decorate on the outside, it's how much you keep the joy and love of the season in your heart that counts!!

Grandma just lost the key to that.  Hope she finds it and opens her heart!!

Happy Holidays!!
