They are all wonderful, I especially love the one of the new leaf sprouting the tree, the lighting is excellent.

Parts of them being out of focus and the apparently cropping is sort of distracting to me, but I love the subject matter and bright colors.  Very vivid! Smiley

Yeah...the reason its like that is because I am using a macro lens which means only a small area is perfectly in focus..I am in love with my macro lens at the moment (i've only had it about a month..it's soo cool!)...

thanks for the comments

I love the macro lens.  I think this is what makes the photos interesting.  I most like the book; I can relate to having passions for things like these - multi colored pages in an otherwise dry book, amazing sidewalk crack designs - you know, beauty in the mundane...it's my favorite kind of beauty.  The least "art" photo, I think, is the squirrel.  I am impressed that you captured it - my Japanese house guest had only previously seen squirrels at the zoo and is always chasing them down for a picture ( :  But it's pretty straightforward.  I like the other two because of the macro lens.

I too, love the Macro lens.  What type of camera do you have?
These look like photos that might be used in a marketing material... they are striking & capture one's attention very quickly.

I used a canon 300D, aka the rebel. I am in love with it - it's replaced my old film canon eos 5..
Thank you very much for the comment. Its very encouraging Smiley

I KNEW IT!!  *jealous*  I told my boyfriend I bet that was what you are using.  I was at the store petting them last week.  My Dad keeps e-mailing me photos he is taking with his & it's making me drool in jealousy.

Have you done any work, for sale?  How long have you had it?

I've had my camera since Christmas. It's basically my first camera (my dad used to have a canon eos 5 but i wasn't patient enough to get film developped -i found it really expensive to experiment) but I have fallen in love with photography so much that I've learnt a lot quite quickly! Actually, I've got exams at the moment so I haven't had the time to take photos recently and its really bothering me!

I love my camera so much! Sometimes I wish it wasn't so big though, as it makes my shoulder ache when I carry it around (and i try to take it everywhere with me!) And, no, I haven't sold anything yet. I've never even thought about that!..i wouldn't really know where to start to try to sell photos. don't suppose you know how you start doing stuff like that? Sounds like it could be a money maker and as a student, that's something i always need!

Maybe you could guilt-trip your dad into buying the camera for you...that's what daughters are for! hehe
My dad bought me the camera for xmas -he ordered it from the US, actually, as its so much cheaper than it is here!
