Magazines

I get five magazines a month, and I have at least a hundred now and more coming.  I need ALL the ideas I can get for what to make with them!  Help!  LOL!

If you have an old blender you might not miss, you could try your hand at making your own paper. It is a fun way to recycle newspaper as well. Also I saw some fun ideas on how to make paper bags on here a few days ago that really were just some folding a glue...

I have used magazine clippings to cover old wine/liquor bottles in the past...make some neat collages on them.

I made that trash can a couple years ago, and still works great!

I also made the bowls and filled them with stuff and gave them out as chrsitmas gifts.
I also went on a rampage and made tons of beads and jewelry with them. (I was in the same boat as you)

Paper mâché projects, you can donate the magazines to schools (If they are not risqué)
Making paper products is fun. You can make custom journals for your friends, or ive seen tutorials where they mix in seeds in the final stage and make cards that can be planted since the paper is biodegradable. I would find a tutorlal on that though, don't want to risk damaging the earth! Once blended, the paper can be molded into anything, making beads or sculptures can be fun! Especially for kids!

Wow, these are some great ideas!  Thank you so much!  I love magazines, and I've started papercrafting JUST to try and get more use out of them!  I will definitely be using some of these ideas.

You could collage a picture frame or make an awesome center piece picture. Makes great gifts

What I use magazines for with my papercraft is as a work surface. I do all the cutting, gluing, etc, then when the page I'm on gets sticky and messy, I just rip it off and use the next.

Haha, I feel special now I don't remember where I first heard the idea, but it's really convenient. There's a lot less cleanup when you can just throw away your work surface in the end!
