Here are some glass ornaments that I made last Christmas.
They're just the empty glass balls sold at craft stores (I bought these at Michaels).

My biggest difficulty with these was waiting for the paint to dry! I was so impatient and would add in new colors/way too much paint too early in the process. So then I had all this paint that needed to dry. I ended up having to drain them of the paint and wait for them to dry that way, which is why most of them are rather streaky. But anyway, on to more pictures!
Using acrylic paints:
For this one I tried using a squeeze tube of watercolor paints:
It worked ok, but there are big globs of paint in some places.
This one is spray paint:
It did dry much faster. I only currently have the silver spray paint, so I didn't try mixing or adding other colors.
I also tried putting in strips of paper from a destroyed book:
It was much faster to make
but I don't think I like it quite as much/
