I made this out of some records from the thrift store.  It was so easy!!!  I sawed the record off with a hacksaw, or you could use a box cutter.  Then I have a little hand sander that I zapped it with for a few.  I sewed together the purse part from two "fat quarters" I happened to have of the same fabric.  I had kept a strap from an old bag of mine because you never know when you might need an old strap, put it on two hooks from an old belt.  I really didn't do much for the closure, just some elastic string stuff with beads, I may change that.  It is for my boyfriends daughter.  One side is "Cinderella" the other side is "The Young Rascals, Groovin'"
Now I am going to make a tote bag for the younger one with the Cinderella album cover.

thanks!  she knows I made me one of the broken record purses and she was like I want one with a strap though...
her sister saw it but since she has the gift of gab I told her someone where I used to live had paid me to make it, so they think it got sent off LOL
