Your scarf is lovely! I'm not much of a rainbow girl, but the way the colors transition is enough to make me want one just like it Wink

I do have some Noro yarn and a copy of this pattern from a visit to a lovely LYS in NH back in September. Turns out I needed a birthday gift for a friend and she happens to like scarves, so when the shop owners pointed it out, the yarn was in my hands before I could blink (they had a perfect colorway for my friend, which made the decision that much faster). I'm hoping to find some relaxation time over my Christmas break so I can make one for her!

How long did it end up being? And what size hook did you use? (I'm not looking at your post right now so I don't remember if you mentioned it already...). I have 2 balls of yarn, but I'd like to use the 2nd one for me!

Thanks for mentioning the tricky bit- now I'll know to watch for it Wink

The yarn calls for 5mm (H/8, I think), but I sometimes crochet tightly, and I didn't like the drape with that hook, so I moved up to 5.5mm.

The yarn has 209 yards, and the scarf is about six feet long (ish... I'm 5'10" and it's a bit taller than me. I haven't measured it)

They didn't have the pins, and I couldn't leave without getting SOMEthing (I'm not the only one who feels this way, right?  Right?), and I spotted this yarn.

I love the colors, its just beautiful and you are right about the above... I do too!! My mom goes berserk whenever i come back with something else in hand Smiley

I went back to that store yesterday after work to show off my scarf (the staff loved it) and to buy more of this yarn... I do need a matching hat and mitts, after all. Cheesy

Thanks! I have 2 balls of Noro that are 100 m each. The pattern called for a J hook, but that sounded big to me. Maybe I'll drop down a hook size (but, since I tend to crochet tightly, that might not work out too well). And, I'm not sure how long my friend would like the scarf to be (it'll be for inside-a-chilly-office use), so I'm thinking I'll crochet up the first ball and see if she'd like it longer.
