Nativity Set - Just in time for the Holidays!

Your project is awesome!  I would never have been able to tell you are a new crocheter.  Your MIL should love it!  and appreciate the love you put into her gift. 

Can you tell me how tall (approximately) the figures are?  I have been looking for a nativity set that I can let my grandsons play with.  This will be perfect.  Now I just have to get busy.

Just in between... We collect nativity scenes as well, and we have a scene that is made for kids. It's completely in wood, so it's very safe as well.

I don't know what language the site will give you. And I'm also not sure if you'll be able to find it in America or elsewhere, as Haba is a German company. I might be a bit expensive as well, but it's worth every penny!

The people are about 3.5 - 4" tall, the animals and Jesus are much smaller -- my only warning with giving them to kids would be they are assembled in *many* pieces - head, body, arm, sleeve, beard, robe neck and bottom trim pieces are all separate, so i definitely would give the parts a good tug to make sure they aren't going to come loose after being played with & maybe skip the hay under the baby as it's just very loosely tacked

I made some of these this year too! Just Mary/Joseph/Baby/Donkey so far, though. My mom collects nativity scenes as well, so the Angel, Shepherd and Sheep will be for Mother's Day (Joseph was a carpenter, not a shepherd, so I didn't make him a crook; I'll make a separate shepherd) and the Three Wise Men will go to my dad for Father's Day. So they'll have a complete set (in order of arrival, lol) by next Christmas.
