Hi,
I am planning on starting my own home craft business and I was wondering if there is a site or a link that anyone knows of that gives you a guideline on how to start planning or a good list of goals?
I know it probably is different for everyone, but I just don't really know what I need to write down and make a list of... Sooo any advice would be awesome!

Thanks!

You can get information from the Small Business Administration at http://www.sba.gov/.
Also, try SCORE - they provide free advice to small business owners at http://www.score.org/index.html.

I don't know if you're still looking for resources, but this place helped me a lot when I was starting my own site, in terms of planning and goal-setting...

I also recommend the book Craft, Inc.: Turn Your Creative Hobby into a Business by Meg Mateo Ilasco. It covers a lot of the basics: http://www.amazon.com/Craft-Inc-Creative-Hobby-Business/dp/0811858367

For any local licensing questions, I highly recommend finding your local Small Business Development Center (this is assuming you're based in the US, though I'm sure there are similar organizations in other countries). Something like this should be able to help you navigate your local rules and regulations.

You can read the free article I just wrote - "10 Things You Must Know About Taxes, Bookkeeping, and Business Licenses". I wrote especially for crafty business people.
You can download it at http://www.mycreativecpa.com/crafts%20business_indiepreneur_arts_design_free%20downloads_excel.html
