Hmm, DeviantART is a really old trusted site, so I didn't expect that. I've used it daily since 2002 without any viruses or other malware reaching my computer. But the last two years i've been using unix based systems, so I may be partially immune if that's a new problem their servers or adservers are having. But I never encountered that during my 7 years of going there on a windows machine.

I guess if this link works it should be safer, since it's the uploaded jpeg without ads, and I doubt they're sending cookies through that line

Yeah, I've never had problems with DA, and it worked just fine this time, but the first time I clicked it was like "You HAVE to play a game and install all this crap on your computer for this site to work!!!"
