Okay, I am so so sorry for posting these photos late and thank you to my partners who did  post their work. I'm also glad that you both liked what I made for you!

So the "D" is from NH822. She uncovered my love for typewriters and thought this looked like a great typewriter font. I thought it was a great first piece to the wall, a "D" for me Smiley <3

The octopus was made by PearliePie. And I'm bummed that the colors in the thread I can't seem to capture with my camera. It's really pretty though. It's not variegated by any means...but there's different colors in it. Lol it's hard to describe but it's beautiful.
Also, it took one of my roommates to point out that it actually spells out 'octopus' in the arms. <3

Now I just have to keep the cat away from them. He saw me take down a painting and hang these two in it's place, so now he feels the need to stand up real high, balance a paw on the monitor, and then try and bat them around. :3 lol

I had so much fun <3 I can't wait for round 4 to begin

It's blending filament! Isn't the effect awesome? I took so many pictures trying to capture the shimmer, but it's impossible, I think. I love the color changes.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

Love the octopus!  Blending filament is great stuff!  I used some in my hoop too and it gives a bit of sparkle without using straight metallic thread.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

The embellished D is lovely!  I like the added cogs but the stitching is pretty all by itself!

I bet the shimmer is really nice in person and up close...I loved the octopus for so many reasons!

I got a gorgeous hoop from pearliepie today!

It's really perfect. I love cogwheels, and I love how discrete and yet concrete it is. The light in here made it a bit more yellow in the photo, but it's beautiful in any sheen Cheesy The wheels are a coppery orange tone, with gold thread in the mix. If I'm gauging the size by eye correctly, it's 2'' wide, and a little bit taller, making the oval.

I really love it, it'll make a perfect start to my hoopla wall once I get a new apartment where it can live Cheesy

The thread is gorgeous...I love how it is on a printed background...subtle but with great impact!  Lovely needlework--the cog posts are beautiful!
