Is it wrong that I went shopping yesterday and left the mall with $80 of fabric, and $45 of scotch?

Now that I've got all my big swaps done (just one more personal to finish up) I've had more time to work on stuff for me and the family. I started knitting this headband (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blue-leaf-headband) and got about 1/4 of the way through when I realized that, although I adore the pattern, the yarn I was using was just horrible. I think it was RH super saver. So bad it made me want to cry. It wasn't that much work, so I'm going to cast on again in the charcoal colored wool I've got. I also knit myself a little envelope-type pouch, but wound up using it to hold some jewelry I made for a swap partner. I've also managed to get more stitching done on my kraken embroidery.

I just joined the 'make a purse and fill it' fake swap craftalong, so I'm excited to get started on a purse for myself!

Today's goal to craft for myself: Corn filled foot warmer. I have 2 different styles in mind, but will be happy if I can get just one finished today.

Yay! I made one!

Those are my daughter's feet in there.
It's filled with corn so it can be microwaved Smiley

...now I need to stop pampering myself and start concentrating on swaps and other goodies I have promised Wink  Though, I do need a hat to keep the winter chill off my head...

I guess it gives you lots of time to craft for yourself then!  (Theoretically, at least.)

Oh my goodness!  And I thought it was going to be cold here today with wind chills at -25F
Thankfully schools are open today, but the kids have dentist appointments this morning so we have to brave the cold!
