Hi!
I've tried to make different kinds of fabric flowers. Now I'm really obsessed with tsumami kanzashi style flowers. Here are the last ones I've made.

Thanks for looking!

Now you've got me hooked, too! Consider yourself 'bookmarked' -- these'll make really cool Christmas package toppers. Googling 'kanzashi' now... Thanks for sharing!

The purple and ivory and green and ivory are 3 inches, and the white flower and ivory one are about 2.5 inches. The latter are by the way with freshwater pearls, cos I like them so much!
Glad you like them!!!

Thank you for the good words!

It's actually not difficult to make them, and it doesn't take much time. So it's real fun!

Thank you!

For me making such and other fabric flowers is a great way to spend holidays. Orthodox Christmas (which is more common celebration in my country) is still to come, so I've got plans!

Thank you!

I love wearing such Kanzashi flowers as brooches and hair embellishment. I like clothes of purple and violet colors (and black of course!), so I have a bunch of these colors accessories for various ocasions.

I'm glad you like them!

Oh wow!  These are gorgeous!  I've made a couple kanzashi flowers but they turned out rather lopsided.  You've inspired me to try again though  Grin

Some fabrics seem to be more suitable to make kanzashi from, and some are too thin and soft, I think. Maybe that's why some flowers are difficult to make and they turn out lopsided... And the more we practice doing something, the better and easier it is to do... I'm sure your next flowers will be nice and round  Smiley

Hi,

I've made some more flowers. They are rather romantic than casual, even in this dull and depressive season. I think, I just like creating something bridal-like, something for special occasios, and I rarely make stuff to wear every day. Well, nobody's perfect, right? Anyway, here they are:

Hope you like them! Thank you for looking!

Thank you guys  Smiley

I guess, I'm stuck with the color ideas now. Perhaps, I'll soon be back with the flowers of some other style!

Hi,

Thank you!

I made some more flowers... I used vintage fabric for the royal blue one. And as I like the shades of lilac and purple, I made that lilac flower with a vintage button, which turned out to absolutely match the color of the fabric.

I especially like how these three flowers mounted on the barette turned out

This black one is with an opalite Moonstone bead in the center

Thank you for watching!!

These are absolutely gorgeous! I'm trying to get into making kanzashi myself, and there are sooo many different techniques online. Just out of curiosity, what do you use to attach them to the base? I've seen some that are sewn together, some use hot glue, and some with rice glue.
