So, I'm not really feeling the Christmas Spirit this year, and it's showing in my cross stitch...

Oh well. I covered the back with pretty fabric, so it can be flipped over.

I free-handed most of the design (as you expert stitcher's can no doubt tell!), but I've converted it into a chart since. If anyone would like to make one, the chart's on my blog: http://paperdoily.wordpress.com/2010/12/18/christmas-spirit/.

Thanks for looking!

This seems plenty spirited to me, haha. I like that idea with the hoop and fabric...finishing some ornaments now and it's a hot mess (literally...hot glue..oy).

Thanks, zatanna! I guess it's kinda spirited... I'm not quite a grinch yet Cheesy

You're braver than I am with hot glue: me and glue are not on the best of terms Smiley

Brave or crazy? Hah! Seriously...I should have used tacky glue (out of it) and batting (only had poly fill) so rgw whole thing was just ridiculous. The end result was ok-ish, though. :p He's 2 and hopefully won't notice!!
