Willing to personal swap for art of my doggies!

my guy's mom recently retired (OK, she hated her job and quit), and she has decided to crochet again after having not done so for over a decade.  She actually called me for advice, because she forgot some of the basics.  So for Christmas, I decided it may be nice to make her a kit of crochet goodies.  I bought her new hooks, scissors, measuring tape, some other doodads, a pattern book, and a technique/help book.  I decided to make her a hook roll and a work bag.  I loved the bagsket design from foofanagle (and which I originally saw here in a swap) and made a pencil roll from  you go girl for a swap myself recently.  I adapted the pencil roll to use for hooks, with a cover flap to prevent the hooks falling out, and with a ribbon tie closure, and made the bagsket in the same fabric.  I am a pretty novice sewer, but am pretty proud of how they turned out.  I think I may make one for another crocheting friend, and a set for myself too.

My bagsket - she likes purply colours and the greens will coordinate well with her living room.  It should be big enough to hold the roll, a small project and a couple of skeins of yarn.

The inside is lined with pockets for notions and crochet doodads

The hook roll

Do you think she will like it?

They're gorgeous, and certainly don't look like they're done by a novice!  Great colour coordination too, lovely fabric choice.  She will absolutely adore them!

This is a great goodie bag set for any crocheter and could work for a knitter too. Great job so nice that you are enabling her free time.

I'm glad you think she will like it - I hope so.  She usually obsessively cleaning, so it would be nice to see her relaxing and doing something else sometimes (it will make me feel less guilty about crafting and not cleaning so much!)
