Thank you so much maxxev, klboo33, Miss Hoodoo, and Bunnie Boo!

It would be really cool to get the fireplace mantel spot! I don't even have that in my parents house!

i saw this in the new topics area and got a little choked up.

i had an irish wolfhound growing up and he was my best friend from the time i was a year old until the day he died when i was 12. this is a beautiful portrait and i'm so happy that you were able to give it to him in person. awesome, awesome work.

So beautiful.  It took me a while to click on it because I thought it was a picture for a dog related swap. Cheesy  Our pets are so close to us.  My inlaws just put to sleep their Corgi of 13 years, and my friend's dog won't likely make it another year.  My dear doggie is getting older and slowing down.  While it is a part of life, they are our dear friends and we miss them so much when they are no longer with us.  I am sure he greatly appreciated the effort and the beautiful outcome more than you know.

I saw the small picture of this at the top of the screen in the featured project section and I clicked on it because I thought it was a real dog in the pet related craft section (I love looking at the pictures of the cute pet stuff people make)! Then when I saw the whole picture I realized it was a portrait, but it still looks very realistic! It's so amazing and it's really cool you got to meet him and give it to him!

Beautiful picture.  Your pastel skills are amazing!  Great that you got to give it to Dennis Leary in person too!
