I got 99 problems, but a stitch ain't one.

I spent the last two days making so many stars for the garland on my Christmas tree. It may have taken a long time but I love the way they turned out. I used lightweight air dry clay and a small star cookie cutter. Let them dry overnight and then attached them to baker twine looking yarn.

In contrast, I made this wreath in about 10 minutes. LOL! A lot of the Christmas theme in my house is winter wonderland/gingerbread house. I found these candy ornaments and couldn't resist doing something with them.

Both are super cute! How did you attach the star to the twine?

Thanks! I glued the star to the twine and then placed a sequin on top of the glue so when the stars were turned around you wouldn't see a big glob of glue.

I almost forgot-I got my inspiration from here-with directions!

I'm in love with the clay.

Consider your star garland idea stolen for my starry night wedding Smiley  That is so creative and easy - but I would have never thought to do it!

Thank you, thank you.. you're making the world prettier one star at a time lol

I think the time spent to make the stars was well worth it.  They look so adorable!
