I made a neckwarmer using this pattern:  http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=4078&cps=21191

I did not use the suggested yarn.  I used Patons Rumor yarn because it's what I had and was able to get the same gauge.  The pattern states that the finished dimensions should be 7 inches X 24 inches.    I made it 26 inches because when I tried it on 24 inches was too short.  I did get the 7 inches on the width.   Still it looks smaller, not as full,  to me than the photo with the pattern.

Should I block or 'kill' this?  Would that help open up the pattern a bit?   It is 84% acrylic/15% alpaca/1% polyester.  If I 'kill' it what will that do since it has alpaca in it?  Maybe I should just wash and dry it and see what happens.

Here's a photos of it.  I have not yet added the buttons:

I would try blocking it before you kill it. Because the worst it can do is not work and you just undo it. Smiley

Thanks.   I've got it all pinned now and will see in the morning how it looks.
