I was inspired by Attic24's blog to bring some color into my very beige living room.  I used her pattern to create a giant colorful granny stripe blanket that allowed my to use up a lot of my stash.   Then I needed a throw pillow to go with it Smiley  Most of the yarn is Caron's simply soft, but their are a few other brands thrown in here and there.

I chained 240 stitches with an I hook to get started.  It is really long!  Everyone in the family loves it, so I'm going to have to make another Smiley

I love the colors and the patterns!  That granny stitch pattern must be the newest fad in the crochet world...everyone's doing it-even me!  Roll Eyes

Those are amazing.  I think Attic24 is my favorite place to go when I am in a color rut...very inspiring.  Chaining 240 stitches deserves some applause as well...I think I am doomed to lapghans due to my fear of chaining that many.

Wow they are gorgeous, I love them both, I'm addicted to crochet rag rugs at the mo as a way of using up all my colourful knit fabric scraps but I love making Granny square blankets and rainbows too so I should definitely search out that pattern.

Thanks everyone!  This blanket is a nice change from granny squares because there are so many less ends to weave end.
