Stuffed pumpkin!!  What great recipes, ladies!!  I printed out just about all of them!   I love strawberries, but I really really love pumpkin!!!

Strawberries...yum!
Strawberry smoothies; blend with yogurt to make strawberry yogurt; I have had strawberry wine - but it may be much easier to just cut it up and put it into wine (or ginger-ale); strawberry fudge; strawberries and pumpkin would go together very well (saw a strawberry stuffed pumpkin recipe here    

Ooh, strawberry fudge? Do you have a recipe? I love fudge!

I've seen some recipes for strawberry brownies, but the reviews didn't impress me (neither did the ingredients - boxed brownie mix? Eugh)
There's some good ideas here, and I think I'll try a few and freeze the rest. I still have most of my last batch of strawberry vanilla vodka, so I might skip the wine though.

But seriously, strawberries and pumpkin? Ew! The best thing to do with pumpkin is give it a rub of sea salt, garlic & olive oil, and roast it with potatoes, onion and carrots. Mmmm, now I want a roast for dinner.

I made this skirt for my daughter out of two bandanna's and the bottom of a black t-shirt. I found the tutorial at Sun Scholars. That puts me at 48/50.

I got baby pictures! My friend used the set of baby photo props I made for her daughter's 1 month photo shoot!

I'm totally stoked and she did a nice job taking the pics too!

I used a C hook (2.75 mm) and Premier Yarn Serenity Garden. Since the star is worked in two pieces I followed the directions until she said to stuff it. Then I took a 1/8th inch dowel spray painted it and put a fairly large blob of hot glue on one end. Shoved the glue end (dried) into the star then stuffed n stitched. Had to add sequins for increased shiny-ness

I adore the sailor ribbon. I've been hoarding it for years without ever finding an excuse to use it before.



the strap is selvage edges, you can only kind of see here, but it's awesome.

I hope you can tell I'm very happy with how this worked out!

Ooh, I like your hat! the yarn is neat, but the spiral makes it awesome.

The rainbow fabric was handwoven by me... from the sort of thin cotton yarn that makes good kitchen towels.  So, yeah, it's pretty strong, provided its edges have been sewn so that it won't unravel, but not widely available.  In fact, there's only about two feet of it left.

silvermoon, your charity hats are turning out so nice...I have a box ready to got to Hats For Charity as well...after all, I can only wear so many hats and I love to make them!

astromorray!!  You bag is fabulous!  I love that you incorporated things you have been saving--those types of bags allow you to use up the tiniest bits of things you have saved...they are like a personal history of your sewing!

The selvage handle is wonderful!  I have been saving slevages for years...kinda ran out of ideas of what to make...I have one more idea now!  Lovely work...

I also love that you pointed out the fabrics you wove!!  What has been the reaction of people when they see your bag?

Still in a craft funk....I think it's been about a month or more now since I've touched my sewing machine  I've done a few hand projects like some TM pillows, embroidery, and jewelry, but nothing else to speak of.

I need this rut to fill in!
