*mental note: add Smarties to list of things Americans can't get and seem to go crazy over, like Tim Tams*

We get them here, but I only see them at Halloween. What are Tim Tams?

The closest thing I did to crafting today was put child safety locks on our new file cabinet. I did have to get creative with how I installed them, but I don't think that quite counts.

Tim Tams are the world's best chocolate biscuit. You can get them in America, but they are ridiculously expensive. Plus, you don't get any of the fancy varieties we can get here. There's this thing that gets done on American talk shows like David Letterman called a "Tim Tam Slam" (attention - Australians don't call it that, we call it drinking your coffee through a Tim Tam like a straw, but that's not as catchy for tv) where you bite diagonally opposite corners of a Time Tam off, and then suck hot coffee or cocoa or tea (whatever) through it. The trick is to suck enough hot liquid through it that the insides go all molten and delicious, but not so much that the biscuit dissolves and falls apart into your mug.

Not crafty, but highly delicious.

evilSabina, the Smarties she is talking about are not the little round candy discs in a twisty wrapper...I think?? that Smarties from overseas are something chocolate related??

For a second Tim Tams sounded like Pirouettes but I google searched it and it wasn't. But now I have a great idea for Pirouettes!

AlishaMisha, I thought the same thing! And yeah, those Smarties don't look like the crappy Smarties that no kid really wants in their Halloween basket.

Always, if I planted a summer garden for a project, can I count my fall garden as another? It was several hours of work last Saturday...

That skirt is very pretty. I like the dots with the flowers together.

And yes, Smarties are sort of like a flatter m&m.
