sheepBlue - I am certainly not tired of them! In fact, I was just pulling up ALL of them to show to someone since I adore them! Every time I see one I want to start one of my own... Keep making them and sharing them for as long as you are having fun!

I finished this Cable Knit Bracelet for my partner in the LV12 swap. I asked her to not peak on here so I could post.

I also finished this knit Lamb Sock Critter. I made this for our state fair(beg of oct). I have never entered a fair for anything, so I am excited to finally participate. It goes along with the puppy that I made earlier this year. The belly is cable knit, the ends of legs and the head are stockinette stitch, the neck is 1x1 ribbing, and the rest of the body is moss stitch. Quite a sampler for such a little guy.

And a look at the face. It is harder to see the eyes in this pic but they are there!

So GenCon is over, which means I got to take my "Learn how to build a drop spindle and spin on it" class.  It was lots of fun, and I learned a new skill!

There are actually dark purple spots in the yarn, so the color is off here, but you can see the very thick and thin nature of the yarn.  But it's a learning process.

Other than this, I've been crazy busy with school, moving, and starting a blog, so little else has gotten done.  I'm only at 10/50, but considering how little free time I've had, I'm okay with that.  I'd be thrilled to get 25 by the end of the year, and hopefully blogging my progress will help me to do that.

What a gorgeous bracelet!  I must learn cables this year!

The lamb is also very cute with his cables!

fishstix43--how awesome to learn to spin!  The yarn is lovely and practice will be fun!

AIMR - cables are  not as scary as they seem.  I just started knitting this spring and I tried them and had pretty good success.
Double ended needles are scary to me as well as color change (which i *NEED* to learn as there's stuff I want to try).

fishstix, it does take awhile to get use to spinning. I'm still at the thick and thin stage myself, but it doesn't make it any less fun! Beautiful colors. Do you have any plans for the yarn you spun up yet?

I have watched tons of videos on cables and in my mind, I can do it...Alisha does them so neat and tidy! I fear failure but I just have to suck it up and try it! Cheesy

I can change colors but I also gave up sock making because of the two ended needles (DP's)...I barely can do circulars, but I am managing!  It is a challenge to try new things...which is why I love you guys!  Encouragement is great!

Vamped,
No, I don't have any plans for it yet.  I still have a ton of roving left over, so I definitely want to get it all spun and then make it into a 2-ply.  It will probably actually end up being something super easy like a scarf because my knit/crochet skills are about the same level as my spinning skills.  Tongue  I really like spinning though, it's very therapeutic in a way.

It can also be very entertaining (or frustrating!) if you have a cat that likes to help  Cheesy
