well said!!!

Truly, I am so pleased and happy to see all of the projects....it saddens me that so many hours of a lot of people's lives is spent so unproductive...we all can truly be proud that we enjoy creating, using our talents for ourselves, our friends and family, and our community...

I am thinking of taking all of my projects this year and making a poster that says : and what did you do in 2011?

Seriously, you all have done a lot! Cheesy

Yofi--I love that pattern--I have not made it yet, but now that I see yours...

It's a really nice pattern, always; I found I can finish one in two evenings of TV viewing, and it only takes about a skein of yarn.  So you can afford to splurge on cool yarn.

(I'd add in the back tassel, altho' it's not in the pattern -- I think it looks really nice.)

This is a fun thread to keep up with, even though I feel so unproductive reading it Tongue
SheepBlue - I have a project brewing in my head which involves oversized gaming dice. I actually looked up the patterns yesterday, and read your post just as I was doing it, made me smile Smiley

While on the topic of oversized dice, if anyone ever sees a crochet pattern for a giant d10, or even the squashed diamond shape that makes up one side, please let me know? I made my sister a giant crochet d20 last year, and I'd love her to be able to roll for initiative as well as to hit Wink

Couldn't you make up your own pattern by figuring out what size/increase is needed to get the shape of one side and then repeat and connect?

If I had the smarts to figure out how to make a squooshed diamondy shape that was mathematically accurate, then yes. I was just hoping a person with said smarts had already done that out there somewhere Smiley

Perhaps not very helpful, but I did some searching and came up with this:
a picture of a crocheted d10
a discussion about it on Ravelry
I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I come across anything more useful.
(one thing I'm good at is online research Smiley)

I'm up to 19 things done on my list, however....  I added more swappy goodness.

waggonswest - thank you for the encouragement!  I need it!  I always worry about not getting the things on my list done but I know I won't get them all done so why do I worry?!  Roll Eyes  In fact, I know that I'll be up for about another hour so instead of typing on here.....  I'm going to go make a few hexagons before going to bed.  Cheesy

I've missed so much awesome-ness! Both the Tink/Ariel and the Spy parties are amazing. I wish my childhood birthday parties had been so creative with the great costumes and the games!

Yesterday, I spent most of the day - and afternoon, evening, and night - trying to finish my little house of horrors for the July challenge. I should've kept up with it more throughout the month, but the stupid agenda cover that I was stubbornly trying to put together just took over. Around 12:30 a.m. last night (this morning?) I was down to the final touches on the little house. I started gluing sticks to the roof and realized it just wasn't going to work. I kept trying to force it to work (must learn to get past the stubborn-ness) and proceeded to ruin the entire roof. *sigh* Around 2:30 a.m. I gave up and went to bed.

After a little sleep - and a loooooong day at work - I think I've found a way to cover up the roof disaster. I'll play around with it tomorrow, and hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of both the little house and the blasted agenda cover. I'm ready to put July behind me and move on to August! (Even though some of my July projects will have to roll over!)

I completely agree with Windgie79, most of my July has rolled over and I think I will just be adding my August mini list to July's. Life caught up with me and I focused a whole lot on swap crafts. I keep telling my self I will slow down with swaps to get some stuff done here, but I just keep finding awesome swaps to join. Cheesy

July/August List:
  • Maintain current and plant more pumpkins or fall veggies. (this might be on going for a few more months)
  • Embroider/applique baby things for my nephew & nieces.
  • Bake breads or pastries during our rainy season.
  • Make a water bottle holder for my father's water bottles and drinks.
  • Another dog bed. Possibly toys & treats also.
  • Bundting, for Halloween or anything else that I want bundting for. Tongue
  • Altered/Sewn clothing for best friends wedding in September.
  • Shirt quilt... Although I have them cut out, I need to sew and add backing.
  • Cross stitch or embroider anything really.
  • Cloth rollers or something to help with my horrible hair!

I'm crossing my fingers here, I know I can do this with all you guys and your crafts as incentive.
