Finished one last night!

29. Make a wedding gift for my co-worker

I'm glad I finished it because I still have to stretch it and put it in a frame. I like to mix hand made gifts and purchased gifts for certain people who I know will appreciate and love a crafted gift. A co-worker/friend of mine is 20, she is getting married August 06 and her and her bf are both Christian and so this is also the first time they will be living together (and away from their parents). I know that they both love the show "The Big Bang Theory" so I thought I'd make something for their first home together.

I also have to snicker at the dirty dirty pun of "it all started with a big bang" for their wedding present lol

The pattern is from Weelittlestitches on etsy. The patterns are hillarious and awesome.

I love the steampunk cross...it looks like something that would fit in the new movie "Cowboys & Aliens"!  An unusual mix of things! Cheesy

that1girl...I love your hairpins!  I also like how you wear them in multiples!

The taggie blanket is so cute kwiltykate!

anitacj--once that shrine gets done, it is going to truly be a labor of love!  I know when I tackle something that seems to be beating me, it is such a great feeling to finally get it done!

I love the Big Bang cross stitch---going to have to find that etsy store!

V3nu5--glad you got the package!  I truly enjoy trying to find things to fit each winner...hope you try out some of the recipes in the cookbook! Cheesy

I did have a hard time packing up the embroidery by Troublet...it is such lovely work!

Hi, I am new to the site. 50 things to make sounds like a lot of fun. I might try and see if there are some things that I can do this year. Debra

Holy moly! I've been away from my computer (and my crafting) for several days - stupid migraines. But so many updates and awesome projects! The steampunk cross - so many details! The flower clips - gah - I need some of those! The tag blanket - so cool, and adding the crinkle! Oh, and the Big Bang cross stitch - I'm so jealous! You are all amazing!

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to Epcot I go!

I'm cracking up at the Big Bang cross-stitch.

That1girl - I love the flower pins all together like that!

The taggie reminds me of an artist's palette.

Every time I am away for a few days from here, I have SO much reading to do to catch up!! I love all of the recent posts - as always I am so inspired by everyone's creativity and productivity!!

I have made a number of things in the last month and haven't posted any pictures yet... I will try to take pictures in the next few days and get things updated here! My big craft project at the moment is to get my craft area organized (again). I really need to destash, but can't seem to part with anything at the moment.

I made a whole stack of ATCs on the weekend, which was fun (my first!) but nothing I can share because they are all for the ATC swap, and it's also bad because it distracted me from working on my tetris blanket which is all pieced together now. I have four vertical rows of seams left to do, and then the outside border. I checked back over my old blog posts and have determined that I actually started hooking it on the 22nd of July, not the 15th like I'd previously thought. I actually hadn't learnt to crochet at all yet on the 15th, so I am still on track to have made it in under a year. And I also realised I completely missed my first blogoversary with this new blog! D'oh!

The dragon that I made up the pattern for should arrive at her new home today though, so then I can post pictures of that at least.
