I love the sound effects pillows but are they conducive to bedtime?!   Grin

Those pillows look totally comfy and kick-arse. Is that even possible?  I also love that quilted growth chart- what a great idea, and with out ruining your walls. Hope everyone has a safe Holiday tomorrow. Grin

I got some things done when I got home from being on a short get away with Mr.Venus and my sister's family. Here is the post of my polymer creations, really for dh but I had fun making them. It was actually on my May list. Sad http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=384374.new#new

Since my partner will most likely get her swap package on Tuesday I will post some of the things I made that I am super proud of.
Here is a beaded rose I made using this tutorial: http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/Arts_and_Craft_Idea/flower_project.html

Here is more polymer and part of my amigurumi list items. A Mickey mini amigurumi and Kingdom Hearts keyblade keychain.

So glad to get 3 more things off of my list. Here is my July list including things I have yet to get to from previous ones.

  • Maintain current and plant more pumpkins or fall veggies. (this might be on going for a few more months)
  • Embroider/applique baby things for my nephew & nieces.
  • Bake breads or pastries during our rainy season.
  • Make a water bottle holder for my father's water bottles and drinks.
  • Another dog bed. (I swear my furbabies do it on purpose, for attention.)
Left overs:
Tshirt quilt that I have been avoiding.* Still crochet/knit scarves/hats for winter.* More amigurumi/plushies of everything!

That growth chart is so sweet!  I want one for my munchkin!  Smiley

Here are June's socks.  I really like the pattern, but all those zig zags took forever.  I already have my July and August sock patterns picked out, a pair of hiking socks for my Dad's birthday, and another pair for myself.

40. Spring Forward socks for me

Projects up for July:
stencilled tshirt for Brother's birthday
knitted lightsabers for DD's friend's birthday
knitted monster for another of DD's friend's birthday
hiking socks for Dad's birthday
Christmas stockings . . . at least get started on one!
make a fairy garden with DD

I like those socks. What pattern did you use?

I totally have more things to put up but haven't taken pictures! I have even sent out swap stuff that I haven't photographed - I am losing a step I think! Its been a tough week for me - some craftherapy may be happening this week. I desperately need it!

I have an embroidery machine! If you want to do personal swaps for machine embroidered items, (or are in my swaps!) let me know!

Beautiful growth chart

Way cool-looking sock ('though they LOOK like they took forever!)

And that beaded rose... Shocked

That comic-book-themed room is so fun!

I'm a bum, but not the cool Dharma kind.

WOW that growth chart is beautiful!!

I finished a little project today
Wasn't hard, it was more finding the motivation to go get the stuff and hall it up to our condo

12.Make a little herb garden for our deck (I dont know if that's really "crafty")

now I just need my dad to make me a little corner table for our deck so they don't have to be on the ground.
I put the Rosemary in a pot all on it's own as it was a much bigger plant to start out with.
I also want to make some cute labels but I haven't decided what kind to make yet

I silk screened the frst layer of flounder on the placemats.  The birthday may become a camping trip, so some things might change, but the major parts remain.

Tomorrow's list:
work 8am-5pm
Sponge paint or silk screen 2nd layer of flounder (using a glitter/fabric paint/silk screen combo)
sew bags
Put 1st layer of paper mache on box

Wednesday List:
Pull old hoody apart
paint kids shirts
sew shorts
sew dress

Thursday List:
Stamp napkins
Decorate glasses
Paint second side of placemats or leave blank, haven't decided yet

Friday List:
Finish painting placemats
Work on pinata
Work on centerpiece

The sock pattern is Spring Forward from Knitty 2008

And they took forever, but only because I guess I forgot to gauge and I got 3/4 of the way done with one sock and it was too small!!!  I'm glad I started over and made them for me, I would have been very sad to have to give them away.
