Finished the dice bag.



I also made a Mother's Day present to post to my mother on holidays - five fridge magnets made from scrabble tiles. (My mother is a huge Scrabble fan)

And I really love the Scrabble tiles for Mother's Day...I've gotta get my things out to Mom, too...
I'm going to keep an eye out for thrift/garage sale Scrabble games and make some of these for my
GD to use on an old baking pan(maybe painted/decorated??)...we can use it when she is here to learn letters and words...=]

Oh goodness, all the talk about anniversaries made me realize that mine is coming up in like a week! (Not a wedding anniversary, but when my bf and I started dating).  Last year he crafted for me, and I totally forgot about it (oops), so I really ought to step it up this year.  Thanks for the reminder!

Craftwise, I made my first granny square last night!  I have a ton of recycled red yarn from a sweater, so I'm planning on making a granny square afghan with red squares and a black border to give to my grandma.  She crochets for everyone else, so she deserves something made for her!

I have no idea what to do for my mother. I was just planning on taking her and my gram out to lunch. I just don't want to give them something that's going to collect just. I've already made them shawls for when it's chilly. I made my mom a little embroidery thing and my gram a punch needle item. What's left for me to do? My gram only has her room for stuff since one of her sons and his family moved in years ago so she does not have much space for things.

I was thinking of making felt flowers and putting them in a simple vase but it sounds too boring.

My parents have little bags like that for their "poker money" (i.e. quarters) when we go camping. It reminds me of late night poker games with campfire.

I just did cards this year. I had some things planned, but then I realized I didn't have the money to buy the supplies, nor the time to make them. (Plus I don't know if my mother-in-law would use it or not). Anyway, I don't know if anyone would have the time to do this now, but I thought I'd throw the idea out there.

I was going to make a casserole carrier with a matching oven mitt.

fishstix43, I'm not married either and since both of us are divorced, we are not likely to ever get married, so from day one I started celebrating the day we started dating. My DP's attitude on marriage is "If you need a piece of paper to prove you are in love, then you shouldn't be getting married". I think next year I'll cross stitch that for him to hang above his desk. 

vampedangel14 I think my mum would love felt flowers if I made them for her. She doesn't like getting fresh ones because they die, but she likes getting flowering plants in pots, because she can plant them and keep them. I think a small posy of felt flowers for her room would be lovely. I might make those for her next year!
