What's a Moogle (besides the cute stuffie you just crocheted)?  And where is the pipe cleaner - is that what's holding up the balloon or whatever?

Is a Moogle another Japanese cartoon thingie or something?  I seem to be totally out of the loop on those! lol

Apart from being a really fun word to say, a Moogle is a character out of the playstation game series Final Fantasy. And yes, the pipe cleaner is holding up the red thing. I think it's called a pompom or bonbon or something. (And yeah, crazy Japanese thing  Grin)

I, too, have no idea what a Moogle is but it's adorable!

As far as replacing the pipe cleaner, you could try crocheting around a straw unless straws aren't baby-friendly either.  Can you poke your eye out with a straw? Undecided

Could probably use a crocheted i-cord, although I don't know if it will stand and hold the weight of the pompom though. I might get to that by the end of the year myself - unless someone else gets pregnant or asks me to make their baby one. I don't have the time for "I wonder" projects!

But that's it for me for a day or two - I have to go and make a 3d dragon mudcake now. I'll be back after the party is done!

I like the Moogle, too, SilverMoon...I don't think there is JurisPrudis to sue you on the use of the word Moogle!  Wink

I never got past Mario Cart games...I'm not much of a gamer.  The rest of my family are gamers, so I know a few of the games mentioned from time to time~

Your various talents amaze me from all the stuff you know, do, and make! Whew!  Shocked
Hope we get a shot of the mudcake...=] *since we all can't have a slice*

I love the Moogle! I've been saying that word a lot lately myself. I just got into the Vocaloid crazy a couple days ago and my friend was telling my about her fave character/voice Gakupo. My brain went 'Gakupo? ....Kupo? ....MOOGLE!?'  For real. Had my friend lol'ing XD  So I was going to make a Moogle cosplaying him and send it to her because it's her fault I am now addicted to Vocaloids. And Moogles are just pure love anyway. I am actually making a Moogle outfit for one of my dolls which I will post here when finished Cheesy

On another note, the roving I ordered the other day came in yesterday and I can't wait to spin it up this weekend! So hopefully I'll have some yarn porn to share too. lol, I just love saying 'yarn porn' especially when people have no idea what I'm talking about XD

I love the moogle. I've been meaning to make one. I'll get to it eventually. I also need to make a chocobo. I've already made a tonberry for my husband, and I think he needs the whole set.

That was what I thought of, too.  I'm trying to think of what would stay rigid to hold the thing up, but still be "springy" enough not to stab yourself with.  If it's not terribly long, a little piece of flexible water tubing might work - the stuff that plumbers use for icemakers and stuff.  It's pretty flexible, but if it's not overly long, it might not be too flexible, and you could crochet around that.  (A similar thing would be oxygen tubing.)  Or maybe a narrow strip of that super-heavy-duty interfacing?
