I love that necklace! I might have to borrow it for my list! Wink

I'm spending the rest of the day working on some stuff for a swap. Hopefully be able to complete most of it because this week is going to be INSANE. Wish me luck! =)

Love the beaded bracelet. I want to learn to do things like that.

The book page necklace looks great! I have it on my list, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks, everyone!  It does take a bit of patience working with seed beads but once you learn the stitches, it's pretty easy!

I love the necklace too!  It is also on my list!  How durable are the paper pieces??  Would you think they were durable enough to be used on a bracelet as charms?

Waggonswest...aren't you lucky to have an honest mate you can trust you to tell you when it's bad!! Most I can get from mine is "um, that's...great." No matter what it looks like...

Calixta...that bracelet is gorgeous!!

I love the book page necklace. Are the page pieces under/in something?

I glued the pages to card stock then put many layers of varnish on them. I think it'll hold up pretty good as long depending on how many coats you put on for a bracelet, I want to make a matching set of earrings next.

Wow you are all cranking out the crafty goodness! I'm still going and have some things to post as soon as I get a computer back (we had to tame ours apart to move it away from the backed up septic pump (YUCK!) because it sits directly infront of the hatch...hopefully we'll get it back up soon!
I did spend a good chunk of my morning at an amazing bead store! And! I already made something for me from my exploits this morning!

Shocked Wow! Spring seems to really be energizing people -- Kudos!

I got two tiny -- but very useful (and therefore satisfying) -- things done.  Wink

One: I got the seeds for my garden started.  Not worth a picture, as egg cartons full of dirt are neither exciting nor aesthetically pleasing to look at.  But last year I never got my garden in at ALL, so....

Two: A wee glove holder to keep medical gloves at hand.  Too simple for it's own thread, but I love the fabric so much that I just have to share a photo here!

It holds one pair of gloves.  Here it is attached to my watch (can't wear wrist watches when lifting students), which has developed into a sort of chatelaine -- watch, meds bottle, hand sanitizer, and gloves.

I gotta say, it really REALLY helps to get things done when you stick your sewing machine in the middle of the living room!  Grin

I've done that before. Turn on the tv for the kids and sew away while being able to keep an eye on everything. It works great.

And good for you on getting your garden going. Someday I'll have one. Maybe.

So I'm out of town house-sitting for some family right now and haven't been home in a week. My boyfriend calls me up today and says "you got a book in the mail...can I open it?"
I wasn't expecting a book so I said sure..Turns out it's "101 Crafts You Can Make at Home"!!!
From an amazing moderator I know...only problem is...he's now holding it for ransom. Actually I don't think he's going to give it back period. He teased me by flipping through the pages going "ohhhhhh....ahhhhhhh h" while on the phone.
Yup not only do I have a bf who deals with me crafting all the time...I have to fight him for the materials because he keeps stealing them!!
THANKS ALWAYS, I can't wait to steal it back use it!
