evilsabina--what a great idea to use something recycled!  I am sure jeans and t-shirts make the perfect hot air balloon and also parachutes!

We won't need parachutes. I forgot to put it on my list, but I'm going to make capes. I'm working on my son's cape today. I hope to finish it tomorrow. (Really)

And by the way, that apron rocks!

I just realized I can post something here after what feels like an overly long hiatus  Smiley

31. altered tin for circus swap Fin 4/1

My partner in the Wicked Circus swap received her tin  Smiley I'm pretty happy how it turned out - it was technically my first time altering a altoid tin. My worst trait is wanting to cram too much in.

The feel for this tin was supposed to be dirty/rusty/grungy. I am now in love with this granular gel medium I used to get the texture!

Here's the inside and some close up shots

I have two more things I am currently planning to make other people but I'm determined to find some time this month to make something for myself! I have a week and a half off from work and school (I'm not quite sure how I managed to accomplish this but I'm stoked) and I'm going to be crafting like crazy then.

I love the tin sheepBlue! I was sad when I discovered that swap AFTER it was closed.  Tongue

So, our old iron was a real pile, it scorched everything it touched. I bought a new one a few days ago and decided to test run it on a simple, cute project for myself. A cute little baby fox iron on....

I was super excited to find a package on my doorstep when I got home today, and even better was the goodies always sent me!

I feel so spoiled!!

I finished one part of my littlest nephew's easter gift and it is just too adorable not to share...of course it will be sooooo much cuter on the little guy, so I won't give it a thread until I get a pic of him in it

Oh, my goodness!  That tin totally looks like you just dug it out of the mud.  That's awesome!

Shan-e, those are some fabulous-looking goodies! Smiley  And a cute hat. Smiley

Always is just the queen of spoilage!  She sent me purple fabric!! Cheesy  I was going to post pictures tonight but I'm about to go crawl in bed because I'm still dealing with bronchitis.  I'll get pictures posted of all my awesome fabrics tomorrow after I start cutting squares tomorrow! Grin

I finished my middle daughter's dress today.  I'll refrain from posting more pictures until the third one's done, though.

And I got about halfway through an envelope "wallet" I'm making.  (Basically prettifying the "cash envelope" system of budgeting.)
