I have a serger still sitting in its box months later... so, you're not alone, MissKerouac. I don't even have the excuse of having nowhere to put it!  Wink

I just haven't needed it yet, I guess.

Cute tea wallet.  Smiley

If I had a serger, I don't think I'd be able to wait one minute before ripping it out of the box!  Of course, I can't afford one right now, so that's that.  Tongue

Heh Heh, If I had the space all my craft stuff would be unpacked.
My hubby doesn't understand how much I NEED my craft stuff, it's my therapy!

But I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Love the bright colors on that scarf!

And the tea wallet is very nicely done. Smiley

No crafting for me this weekend, as my sister got married Saturday night (so two days' worth of heavy-duty wedding stuff), and then my littlest one was dedicated this morning.  Looking forward to being productive again next week.

I was wondering, were there challenges posted for January and February?  Anyone happen to know approximately what page numbers they were on?  (I like to save stuff like that for inspiration.)

Can anyone recommend some easy sewing projects for someone with absolutely no sewing aptitude?  I really, really, really want to learn but I always muck it all up.

I don't know if you still need this, but maybe somebody does.

I would suggest that you start with a pattern from an individual (WAHM-type) publisher.  Their instructions are typically more beginner-friendly (and plain English) than the "big" pattern companies.  I love the Emmeline apron from Sew Liberated.  It's flattering on a variety of body types, reversible, and "complicated" enough that you can really feel you accomplished something (y'know, it's not just bias binding around a chef's apron shape), but the instructions are really easy to follow.  (2 years ago, that's what I made for all of the grown women on my Christmas list - Emmeline aprons.)

Finally got something new done!  These aren't the greatest photos of it, but this is Butterick 5496

I need to get a white tank top to wear underneath.  Those were taken with a black sleeveless sweater which added bulk and the wide straps look funny.  It's way cute in person, though!

Aislynn,  I love it.  What a cute top!  And it looks adorable on you.  It is hard to tell what the real color is, but you might consider a beige or tan tank under it.  Then the contrast between the top and tank won't be as stark....  but then who wants a beige or tan tank???

This is sweet! my DD would love one like it, and she'd probably pair it with black just because she is like that. You look great!
