I can't seem to stop folding cranes, I think I am addicted.

That was me last year but with the origami stars!  Cheesy I made a ba-gillion of them last year and then strung them on fishing line with silver beads in between. I used it for a garland on my Christmas tree, it was really pretty and deff worth the blisters and callouses.

aliasgracie: -43C? Two questions popped immediately into my head...1) where the heck do you live and 2) WHY the heck do you live there?!  Grin Seriously, I'm sure Sasketchewan is lovely...in the SUMMER. Stay warm!

As I sit here and whine that it's a "fa-reezing" 30 degrees F here (wimpy deep Southerner here), here's my February list:
1. lip-shaped wine coasters (must draft pattern)
2. "vacuum" bag for my husband's shop vacuum he's upcycled from my old stove vent motor
3. An Alot for my DD and maybe one for her teacher
4. some sheep cards for my friends at Valentine's Day, possibly with Martha Stewart's heart potholders for one or two of them
5. find a chocolate muffin that's not too sweet for the group of friends who comes for breakfast every Wednesday morning

Still working on January's list--fate's been making it's OWN "50 in 50" for me to try and keep up with.  Undecided

How are you making your Alot? I want to knit one for my brother, but my knitting is not quite advanced enough for the pattern I found.

Whew -- too much work, too much travelling, not enough crafting.

I've got a couple of projects going at once, but very little to show yet.  Tonight is cookie night -- food is all I seem to be able to finish this week!

8. Tangerine jelly and Rhubarb jam.  (Rhubarb is red, right?)
The only decent looking fruit in the market these days, altho' this weekend I want to finally make some chunky pear butter before the winter pears disappear.  It's the first time I've made jelly, and the picture doesn't do it justice -- it absolutely glows!

and....
9. 10 servings of chicken-hominy stew
Does this count as a craft?  Made from scratch -- even the stock came from the freezer --- and really hits the spot when you come in from chipping ice.  I seasoned it with sumac, which gives it a wonderful bright taste -- despite a disconcertingly flesh-like color... (I thought about putting in some little eyeball-like chunks of potatoes and calling it zombie stew....)

I finished a project that I don't have on my list.  Cheesy  I finished a pair of fingerless gloves and started another pair because they're just so freakin' easy to do.  Except the second pair is being turned into mittens.  I'll post pictures of the weekend!

Can you believe here in Maine I have 4' of snow?! And that is after the snow settled! We got another storm on Sat, then another on Wed. When will it ever end?! Ahh well, I will be in sunny warm Florida in 23 days so what am I complaining about?  Tongue

Anyways, I just finished two items off my list for my niece arriving in May. Both have pink and white  Grin That's 3 so far! And best yet I have made another red item but I am just finishing up the last part before I post pics.

Graced- It was actually -33 but the windchill was -43. That was yesterday, right now, it's +1.  I used to live in the Yukon and would walk a mile to work in the dark at -55!!
