Sorry for the tl;dr-ness of this post.  I present to you my sorta organized, sorta totally disorganized list.  I've listed items that have a definite deadline date, ones that have a preferred deadline date, and ones that can be anytime throughout the year.  Projects with preferred deadlines are in red.

Anytime throughout the year:

1- Jewelry
2- Learn to crochet
3- Make a monster faced cover for our ugly, stained, but fully functional ottoman (I'm thinkin' purple fake fur and maybe some appliquéd felt facial features)
4- Learn silkscreening
5- More t-shirt recons; want to use up my stash of battered and ill-fitting shirts this year.
6- Bottlecap magnets
7- More photos of my boyfriend and me; sadly, we just hit our 2 year mark in October, and I think we have three photos of us together.
8- Play with polymer clay!  I haven't done that in forever.
9- Jean recon on a pair of my bf's beat up, torn, but relatively usable jeans he donated to my stash about 2 months ago.
10- Blog more about crafty stuff, maybe I'll even piece together an intelligent sounding tutorial!
11- Candy making in general; I'm pretty competent in the kitchen and my cooking skills have improved a million fold since 2008, but I'm not gonna lie, candy making intimidates the crap outta me.
12- Knit something a bit more complex than stockinette or garter stitch
13- Learn how to do cake/cookie decorating that is more extensive than a swirl or a stick figure
14- Customize some Barbies (btdubs? If you're reading this, Craftster member who put up the Tobias Funke doll, marry me!)
15- Felt animals
16- Small curtain for bedroom window
17- Make marshmallows!
18- Improve my Gimp skills significantly
19- Project with posters?!?

Jan 1 - Feb 28:

20- Block printing (supplies ordered from Dick Blick on Thursday)
21- Hanging jewelry organizer (similar to this - supplies purchased Thursday)

22- Valentine's gift for BF
23- Birthday gift for BF (22nd)
24- Cake for BF's birthday - I'm thinking something classic rock, but I could always amuse myself and go with Star Trek.
25- 3 or 4 cross-stitch pieces....
26- .....and then I can finally get my Etsy store up and running; in a similar vein, network with the people I know who are always looking for new ways to promote their organizations

27- Plan out 2011's herb garden
28- Fix my eyelash yarn scarf.  Started it last year, cast way too many stitches when I started it, and then tossed it into my knitting bag to be forgotten about for the rest of my life.

Mar 1 - April 30:

29- Water pipe cozy (gift for a friend)
30- Organize my crafting pseudo-room
31- Birthday gift for Mom (11th)
32- Birthday gift for Dad (20th)
33- Anniversary gift for parents (5th)

May 1 - June 30:

34- Origami
35- Learn canning

July 1 - August 31:

36- Halloween decorations (start around mid-August)

September 1 - October 31:

37- Christmas gifts for adult cousins, my aunt & uncle (4 couples)
38- Christmas gift for my baby cousin (will have just turned 4)
39- Christmas gifts for parents
40- More Christmas ornaments

November 1 - December 31:

41- Fleur de sel caramels for Christmas gifts.
42- Perfect my cut-out cookie skills for Hanukkah.  Tracked down a set of Hanukkah cutters sometime around 12.2; needless to say, I did not get the chance to use them.
43- Latke recipes.  Boyfriend gave me permission to tinker with his beloved classic latkes.  WIN!  This year, I had fully intended on making sweet potato latkes with a little bit of heat as well as potato/leek latkes, but didn't get the chance to make more until last week.  Sad  I want to get it all figured out before Hanukkah 2011 (which I just learned will start on 12.21.11; SCORE!)

I'm going to stop here with definite projects.  Here are some potentials that have a less than 50-50 shot of panning out.  I know that other projects will come up over the course of the year, so I'll leave myself the 7 project buffer.  I'm already convinced that a minimum of four couples we know will have kids or announce their engagements this year because I'm heading into the new year fairly organized.  We can just consider those 7 missing projects as "emergency embroidery project #1, #2, etc."  lol

Potential projects:

Lemon verbena jelly (depends on whether or not we grow verbena this year)
T-shirt blanket (depends on how easily I can get my boyfriend to brave thrift shops with me - I certainly don't have enough t-shirts in my stash to make a blanket)
Something for my boyfriend's parents.  They've just been really awesome to us over the past two years and I want to try to figure out something very "me" that they would appreciate it.
Get a monthly craft night together.  I don't know how feasible this will be; everyone I know who I think would be interested is a bit spread out, not everyone has cars, and we're all relying on changing schedules (mainly retail & EMS).
Halloween costumes. I'm not running myself ragged with this one, but I'm hoping we'll be able to get out to a Halloween party this coming year.
A queen or king sized quickie fleece blanket (one of the no-sew jawns) and fleece PJ/lounging pants.  This one is going to depend on how cheap I can find fleece.
Refinishing a piece of furniture.  We've been talking about reworking our second bedroom and putting in an area for me to use my Wii (and Wii Fit).  My boyfriend has been arguing that we won't need another piece of furniture and I just don't see how it will be possible for us to get the room setup the way we want it without spending cash on furniture.  I've been trying to gently nudge him towards looking in Goodwill to see if we can find a $15 piece that will fit and I can just refinish it myself.

After spending many stolen minutes sketching today, I've been doing ModPodge silk screens all night.  I've done 4 in 3 hours!  (although, they only count towards one and a half items.)

I am super excited about joining this craftalong!

I have spent the last couple of days trying to figure out how to organize all of the things that I want to make. My friend pointed out to me that I had almost 40 people on my list for birthday and holiday gifts, which does not make this list all that exciting (1. birthday present for mom, 2. birthday present for husband, 3. birthday present for daughter….). I pulled most of that out for the time being and am focusing on items that I know that I want to do, not on how I will be using the items. I will still need to make a totally separate list for those gift items  Sad.

I am leaving some blanks for the random inspirations that always come up. I will probably re-organize this list as I go to make it more user-friendly, but for now:

I know that I probably won't get a third of this list done - with a two-year-old who has given up naps and a baby due in May - but I seem to be more productive if I have goals and lists, and probably more productive still if I post them, so here we go:

DawnTrees...I love number 32. earth assemblage cabinet.  I feel like my toddler has turned me into a magpie like herself.  Little treasures especially natural ones call to me now.

Well...I didn't get as much done as I wanted.  My little magpie decided to wake up at 2am and NOT go back to sleep at all.  But I did get 2 pairs of WeeWeka Training pants cut out.  Maybe tonight I'll get to assemble them.  They seemed kind of big so it might be good that I didn't get to sew them up.  I can sort of see how they might fit on Aria first.  I thought I might run into the problem of them being too small since the pattern is for 2T.  She is almost 3 and pretty average sized but they seem much wider than she could possibly be.  Meh.

I love your #3 DawnTrees: fairy door.  Which reminds me I want to add to my list

31. finish the tshirt quilt that has been sitting around since I was in college
32. build a fairy garden with the munchkin

Got another market skirt done last night, so now I'm 2/3 with those.  I'll finish up the third today.

Yay, I finished my #37!  I took an old little journal I had and wrote down all the months/days for this year so that I can jot down a quick note on what happened that day.  Smiley
