I was thinking of taking some scratchy wool and working on my dryer balls today. But would I end up with itchy ones?  Smiley

The Astor hat is such a gorgeous pattern...the green is gorgeous--what yarn did you use?

I have seen the fleece gloves...but I do not want to add to my list...oh, well, maybe... Cheesy

Batgirl--what gorgeous colors!  I know a lot of the ones I have seen were much more muted -- I like the brightness of them!  I have not seen that yarn...I bet is is also great for knitting...

mommythemaid--your crafting room is gorgeous--and neat---and clean--<----jealous!!!

and, you silly gals...enough talk about the balls...what are you, a 15 year old boy? Cheesy

Stop it!  Stay on crafting! Cheesy

You all are killing me! Ok, always, back on track...

I've overhauled and updated my list, but I'm just going to post the newest additions here instead of the whole list. I came to the decision that this year I'm focusing on my family and our home. I want to spend more time crafting useful items, like wearables, washcloths, and so on.

- Crafting journal (because I can never remember all the projects I want to start)
- Frankie Stein doll
- Cloth napkins
- More hair bows (large, puffy, etc.)
- Travel knitting bag (sling-type, hip area)
- Knit sampler squares afghan
- Knit washcloth
- Jute rug
- Tile coasters (http://pinterest.com/pin/2771742/)
- Eyeglass case (inspired by http://bit.ly/fniagc)
- Cabled owl washcloth (temporarily abandoned due to fail)
- DDPQE cross stitch
- Entry for the Craft the Love contest
- Embroidered children's book cover (http://pinterest.com/pin/2879228/)

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

Thanks for all the compliments.  It took me about 9 hours to clean out that room and organize everything and load it back in.  Of course there were a few internet breaks Cheesy

MommytheMaid, the craft room is fabulous.  Red and blue is a favorite color combo of mine!! I have an entire room for crafting but only because I force the family to eat in the living room at a small Korean style table.  I took over the dining room and gated it off.  heh.

I have been holed up with books and more books about such topics as political economy, contemporary governance, public policy process... This to say, crafting has been minimal and stalled...BUT tonight I am taking a much deserved break, working on swap items that need to be out the door by Friday and hopefully working on my 50 items list as well!!

The yarn for my Astor hat...no sleeve on that skein...but I do believe it was Plymouth Encore.  One more skein from my dedicated hat yarn stash...gone! =]
Time to cast-on another one!  I should try and block that one and dry it over a dinner plate to make it more beret-like.

I just learned a neat trick from you...I would never have thought to block over a plate!
