What a clever idea!  I bet my hubby would like that for riding in the cold for the next few months!

do you have something to keep you busy til the weather decides to co-operate and you'll be safe going to get it fixed??  Hope so!! Smiley

Hee. yes.  don't worry about me, I've a hundred hobbies... Wink  I should be getting it back on Tuesday, though.  the trouble is that now all I can think of are projects involving sewing machines!  Perhaps I will spend my days ironing, cutting, and pinning...  Roll Eyes

mmccorbin- I love your list! Got a lot of those things on my list, also.

I want to get started on the cloth napkins soon because we go through 7-8 rolls of paper towels a week (and that's ludicrous). But I'm such a sewing newbie I don't know what sort of fabric I should use.

Any ideas?

Finished something!!!
I probably won't be posting this anywhere else on craftster; its just a simple project.  Last year, my partner bought our daughter, Aria, a doll stroller.  It broke almost immediately after she started using it.  The fabric was cheap and the woven ribbon they used to bind it was just as cheap and poorly sewn on.  Plus, it wasn't very attractive.  I replaced with some prettier and much sturdier fabric and bias binding.  Phil came home last night after work and was pretty impressed with the stroller upgrade.  And Aria was over the moon this morning.  She kept asking me if I had gotten her a NEW stroller; she seemed appropriately ( Tongue) impressed when I told her that I had simply sewn her a new seat for her stroller.

I don't have a pic before I ripped up the seat (I forgot) but here's a snapshot of the fabric.   Of course it looks much worse due to crayon stains...but I promise it wasn't all that fab even before Aria's additions.

5. new cloth seat for Aria's toy umbrella stroller
And the upgrade...

woohoo!  one down, 49 more to go.
I have also decided to add my swap items in but my goal is to still get 50 non-swap items done this year.  But I want to have a place to keep track of all my projects this year so they will be added in unnumbered in the month I complete them and then at the end of the year I may go through and add them in for a total count of hopefully far more than 50!

FinRaziel - lovely hat! great color, too.

rlynn - I LOVE that fabric! and great way to recycle something that others would have probably just tossed.  The stroller is super cute!
