Could you get the organizer to contact the person and ask for pics? Or did she flake?

I am doing a scrappy crochet craftalong on the crochet board...here is a hat and scarf I made using leftover yarns...

No she didn't flake and she already has her feedback. I've contacted her and asked twice and she says she's working on it, but well it still hasn't happened so I just don't think it will.

Oh, and I love that hat and scarf.

Well today while working on it my crochet hook broke! It was a plastic one and the only one I had in that size. So I either have to try crocheting with about an inch and a half of hook or wait till I can get out and buy a new one.

Oh, I hate it when that happens! Only I snap metal ones. I've gone through four 3.5mm in the 18 months since I learned to crochet, all of them metal ones. I've learned to just keep a stockpile of them lol. Mum says that means my tension is too high, or the hook is too small for my yarn, and she's right on both counts, but how else can I make my adorable amithingys without holes? So I stock up on 3.5mm hooks, and abandon all hope of using bamboo or plastic hooks in that size  Grin (In fact, I've started stocking up on all my hook sizes, to have at least one spare in every size in case I snap one in the middle of a project)

That's somewhat understandable, but mine was an 8mm hook. Not really sure how it happened. I didn't think I was crocheting very tight, but who knows.

45. Make myself a blanket using Stitch Nation's Copenhagen Pillow pattern

DONE! Made it as just a throw so big enough to cuddle with. Not one circle is the same. I used 7 different colours and then the off-white for the borders. I think it turned out very cute Smiley
