shan-e yes gnomes are creepy, and for good reason! I can't help but feel a little bad for the flamingo I sacrificed for the sake of humor hehe...

Thanks everyone for the awesome comments - I wasn't quite sure how well it'd all go over but generally the consensus is a bit sick but funny, totally what I was going for  Cheesy

Mmmm fabric and books *wipes drool off face*

I also finally came up with a logo for my future etsy! It didn't take quite as much time as I had thought it would. Now I'm stamping away on everything  Grin

64. logo for etsy Fin 8/11

Hope everyone's having a happy monday!

I love that little logo! (and I've already pinned/lusted/drooled over that hoop)
You amaze me.

I *need* to do one for my etsy/blog but I'm terrified of carving.

Its really not too hard as long as you go very slowly with it. And you have the right tools. I highly recommend the pinky speedy carve? type of lino. You'll know it's the right one because it's the only one that's pink! It carves like butter but is elastic enough that's not going to easily crumble like a lot of the other ones.

I'm done!  Grin

It's not blocked yet, but that will have to wait for a nice weather day, as it's still the tail end of Winter here. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, but I'm getting another long awaited project done tomorrow - my first tattoo!

I wonder, does that count as a project? It's not on my list, but I designed it myself, and I do consider my faffing around with digital images, art of sorts. Regardless I'll be sharing a picture of that tomorrow I'm sure.

Silvermoon -Cool Tetris Blanket!  Good luck on your tattoo... they become addicting

I have two projects done for my 10 in aug/sept challenge.  A hoop for a swap and new kitchen curtains - however pics have to wait a day or two while I track down a tension rod that will fit through the curtain grommets I used..  Undecided

Love the tetris blanket!

sheepblue--I think that going outside of most people's comfort zone is what takes your project from crafting to art!

I will say that I am going to chain down my garden gnome just in case...I am totally creeped out now and will never be able to look at Travelocity's gnome the same way Cheesy

Silvermoon - I'd say designing your own tattoo is definitely an artform! I have yet to get any tattoos because if I'm going to have anything permanently penned to my body I want it to be of my own design....but I haven't come up with the right design yet haha. I can't wait to see it! And great job on the blanket! It looks awesome  Cheesy

Always - haha, gnomes have those shifty plaster eyes, not to be trusted!

Great tetris blanket. It probably feels good to finally have it finished.

The gnomes are creepy...would be awesome to see someone do their yard up like that for halloween though.

As soon as I saw the tetris blanket, the music started playing in my head...
