I finished the journal for a friend!

She's leaving Boston to do some traveling in Eastern Europe (hence the small picture of Boston w/ hearts on the first page).  I used a variety of papers and added little pictures or decorations here and there within.

And here's the small paper spooky trees I whipped up at work.  Now I just need to make them bigger and in black!

Those trees are really cool! Also, the journal is such a labor of love and friendship--love it!

TSM--I just knew you would have a colorful rainbow wedding! Cheesy  Those flowers are lovely and so thrifty!

I forgot all of the spent CD's from work so I can't work on my Halloween Banner this weekend Sad

I did manage to find the pics of some of the projects I completed:

My new gym bag!

My repaired and reuphostered sewing chair:

Wow! I am so envious of this type of skill! Gorgeous, gorgeous work.

Always - Those head scarves are just too cute. You're giving me crafting ideas  Wink

And..

OMG..Spooky trees! I'm maybe a lil too excited about those but I'm going to be moving soon into a roommate free zone which means I can have whatever Halloween decorations I want so I'm totally looking for ideas.

Yikes! The year is half over and I've completed a grand total of 4 projects. That's 7-8 projects a month if I want to get finished in time.

AIMR - Yup, you know me Smiley  Colorful is the way to go!  I'm also loving those headscarves.

This was yesterday's sewing project:

Turned out too big for me...it will likely end up finding a new home, as I don't feel like taking out the seams and taking in at the bust all the way down Tongue

Love that fabric!

Did you use a pattern?  I am working on two tops--I have not sewn clothing in forever...

I love those head scarves. I need to do something similar. Only probably for my little girl. She informed me she wants hats for her birthday, but I think she'd like head scarves too.

AIMR - It's McCalls 5659, actually.  I cut out the 24, but I likely only needed to cut out the 18 or 20, bust is about 4" too big.  I cut out the largest size most of the time as I typically make for others, so better to be able to cut down than to not have enough to begin with!

Mel--they are super easy...sew together 3 inch squares...cut lining same size as your patchwork--for adults, cut in half; for kids, cut in half then half again...I used strips of the lining/muslin fabric to make the ties
