Cleaning is totally overrated. I'm just going to make a big mess again anyway. So cleaning seems counterproductive to me. Smiley

I was going to whip up a quick gift for a birthday party, but the party got cancelled. So I guess I'll put that on hold and do the laundry. Sigh.

I need to remind everyone that sometimes we need to clean our homes... Cheesy

I've been waiting for the elves to do it.

I totally agree.  Why waste my time doing things that will just be immediately UNdone?  Cheesy

I clean because I can not stand the grit under my toes.  Cry

I tried giving up cleaning one summer to force my family to help.

They never noticed.  Roll Eyes

I am going to try that logic on my hubby! Cheesy

evilSabina, when you find the elves, please PM me with their contact information!

My compromise is that I do major messy crafting only at certain times, when I can be assured that nobody's coming over who hasn't already seen the explosion, and when I have a freezer full of prepped meals so I don't have to stop to cook. None of that has been true lately.

Must. Craft. Ya'll are making me jealous!

I clean quicker when I have a list. So I created a checklist in Excel & I tend to clean a lot quicker with it.
It's got daily, weekly, monthly, yearly on it. But it's really easy to edit, add/remove things.
On the weekly & monthly I put 2 checkboxes though in case it needs doing again.
(anyone wants a copy I'm happy to email, just PM me your email)

As far as finishing projects go, depends on how badly I want it. I have a 2 boxes of unfinished projects (that's just inside, I don't know what's in the garage  Grin)

Now I'm off to attempt a cot doona cover....if only my friend had decided she wanted a quilt

Nothing like a graduation party with never before visited family to motivate cleaning.  But then there are all those graduation and thank you gifts to make......

... then again, elves would be nice.  Perhaps I should start making tiny shoes....
