When I wrote "regular basis" I meant for stuff like breakfast and showers  Tongue

haha  Some of us don't get those done on a regular basis, either. Wink  The bracelet is great!

astormorray, great socks and skirt.  (I don't think I will ever have the skill/patience for socks.)

Great socks and skirt.

What yarn are the socks made from?

What yarn are the socks made from?

Thanks!

It's handdyed by me, actually, dyed twice.  Initially it was all yellow with gold splotches, but I felt that would be overwhelming, and then I skeined it out for self-striping and overdyed with green, teal, and gold.

Here's my tutorial on making self striping yarn.

I wound it into two balls. Then I started knitting and discovered I was running the stripes in reverse on one sock compared to the other.  Huh so on the leg, whenever the teal stripe came up I switched balls, so that the pattern reverses, and they don't look so odd, but about halfway down the foot, I gave up on that, and the pattern just runs whichever way it wants.

I think that the colors are so similar, that you really wouldn't notice the stripes running differently, unless you knew to look for it, but as I did know, and as I was spending hours staring at it, I couldn't just not do anything.

Alright, that was much more long winded than you required. Wink

Made a dress this week for stepdaughter's 5th grade graduation.  She was having a meltdown and didn't want to wear anything in her closet as it wasn't "fancy enough".  I'm half pleased with how it turned out -- I wish I would have done the straps differently - but lack of coordinating fabric and time were constraints.  I hope to post pics of everything I've done in the last month+ this weekend.

Love the socks! I have got to learn to knit!

On a slight side note I stopped by a local yarn shop today and found out that a bunch of LYSs are doing a "yarn tour" I hit two and came out with three new projects  Smiley but I wish I had known sooner there are over 20 shops on the tour! On a slightly sad note neither of the two I stopped at were offering much of anything in crochet Sad

I may have to join the bi-stitchuals and learn to knit this year rather than next Wink

I should have my next project done within the next week. It is a single colored embroidery hoop for he color swap. It is actually coming out quite nicely. Smiley
