That roving/yarn and tutu are very pretty.

More nerdcraft from me tonight.

My friend wanted a brain slug for his girlfriend's daughter's 13th birthday, with a long cord so he could attach it to a hair comb himself. And a Brain slug beanie for him.

Oh, and I just got the photos from my friend with the new baby. She has finally hung up the dragon mobile I made for her daughter, so I can show you the FO. Not the best pics, but better than nothing!

What a great mobile, SilverMoon! =]  It must be nice to see the finished product after all the crafting you've done...=]

YoFi!...I meant to ask you about your jams! =]
Do you have fresh rhubarb already?  Ours is still slowly coming up...and we only have about a cup of blueberries left in the freezer...(MrJ likes pies made w/them best)
Great job on the jellymaking and I had to L0L about the kittehs... Cheesy

The dragon mobile looks great!

That batt/yarn looks awesome.  You could maybe use the yarn for accents needle-felted onto something.

If you use low-sugar pectin for jam-making, do you have to worry about the keeping ability of the jam, due to the decreased sugar?  (I've never made "real" jam before, but I have some Clear-Jel here, and am wondering for when I use it.)

And, good heavens, I can't even imagine crocheting or knitting a hoodie!  Great job. Smiley

Yep, it's blueberry and rhubarb -- which is just coming in here in Central Ohio.  I loooove rhubarb, but you can only get it in the spring anymore, the stores never seem to carry the frozen stuff.  I guess it's kind of old fashioned.  Now that I own my own place I'm thinking of planting a little patch.  Takes a while to establish, but it's nice to have it all summer long.

The low-sugar pectin takes care of all the gelling issues, I think, so you don't have to worry so much about proper ratios.  I know I've used recipes that specifically called for it before, so I need to go back and analyze those recipes a little more closely.

I picked up a ton of canning jars cheap at the hardware store at the end of last season. Perhaps the next version will be called Rhuberry...

I love all the great crafts here -- especially the mobile.  Coolness!

We had one sickly rhubarb at the old house...the neighbor had rhubarb-zilla!  Cheesy  And our new plot of ground has two larger and two smaller plants...they must not have done much last year but we'll baby them along this year and hope to get a pie or dessert out of them.  Maybe next year we'll have enough to freeze some! =]

I've complete a couple of projects this morning and wanted to share the sites...=]

a multi-colored bag...to tote around granny projects in:

and a granny project I've been working on for awhile:

I finished a baby blanket saturday... only to find out I was like 4 inches short on my binding tape... so I have to wait til I can go to the store to get more to finish it (so irritating that the walmarts near my house no longer have fabric sections).

I have a few swaps wrapping up in may too.. so I should be able to do a nice photo dump then Smiley

Love all the Moogle goodness!  and I dont' even play FF (yet).
That corona sweater is amazing!
