I have also come to love the flaws and the stains of my great grandmother's needlework--it reminds me that she really did use the things she prettied up...

the color catcher tip is a good one...I use them in my regular wash but never thought about the vintage stuff!

I haven't fallen off the face off the earth, really I haven't. February has been the toughest month we've been through in a while, with not only major illnesses but also some epic family trouble (like, disowning family kind of bad). But I've still been crafting, although at a much slower pace! Hopefully I'll have a finished project to show for it soon  Cheesy

J_Kieviet- I love that quilt, the colors are fantastic!

lafemmefatale- that Alice in Wonderland necklace is AMAZING!

Thank you thank you!!! I was really self conscious about it but I loved it!  I hope the swap partner loved it cause I'm not sure she'll wear it and she didn't mention it.  I hope everything with your family is getting better!!!

Don't you sometimes wish a swap partner would send you back stuff they aren't going to wear or use? Cheesy

I thought the necklace was cute and innovative...she probably did not mention it because in swaps, people send too much stuff!!! Cheesy

I just finished another project on my list, a full-sized apron.

See the lovely Batman-esque tilt to the camera? Yes, from one of my darling rotten little boys took the picture. Do you notice the 'Please quit playing and just take the picture please?' look?

There are more pictures in my photo hosting if any one is interested.

I would like to enter this into the contest please.

I've been a craftster "guest" for a while. This group pushed me over the edge. Too late to join you all?

ha ha rottenlitteboys--I think the picture is charming given your story! Cheesy  It is a lovely pattern as well...did you use a particular pattern?  I collect apron patterns and then butcher them up to fit the recipient...I love the piping on it!  It certainly qualifies as an entry!

krythe--imera is right...there is so much variety and links to projects in this group that it never gets boring!  Be warned, though, that there are some really whacky people here and they really push out amazing goodies--your own list will grow and grow and grow! Cheesy

REMINDER:  CONTEST ENDS THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24th at midnight!!!  Get your pictures posted...if you are waiting for swap items to be received, just send me a simple PM letting me how many of those items you think will qualify...I certainly do not want the post office to keep anyone from being entered...I have one more prize to get and can't wait to start the March contest! Cheesy

I was looking over my old posts and I realized that I don't think I counted any of my cooking projects as part of my 2010 list.  At the rate I'm going this year, I'm going to need to do that, so I'm going to count the recipes that I make, take pictures of and post.  Here is my first one for this year: Lemon Chicken.

It looked much better in person.  I may have to add a project to my list for improving my food-tography!

oh yummy!

I am addicted to making this lightweight and very fast and easy scarf...I ordered some Vanna White glitter yarn to make this scarf for a friend...it is the Luna Scarf that pinkleo shared with us on Craftster.
