I want to try it, too!  Starting with koolaid yarn!  Some of the people here linked to instructions--I tried a small ball of icky brown yarn but I think it was too dark to pick up the koolaid...I can't wait to see your yarn...

I found something similar on flickr a long time ago and tweaked the pattern so it wasn't so geometric. It's been in my to-do folder forever, and took about 20 minutes, makes me laugh how I can put things off so easily.

Just finished shoveling the driveway with the dh. We got 15 inches overnight. Better than the 20 they were calling for.

Now must clean up while the girls nap so I can get started on my cross stitch as planned. I am excited to get it going. I got some of the thread separated last night. There are so many brown colors I am going to have a terrible time figuring out what is what. Anyway....off to clean!

We only got ice...my car looked like a popsicle!  I had to use a mallet and screw driver to de-ice the darn thing!  My hubby says that should give me the incentive to clean out my half of the garage so I can get my car in...grrrrr....I would rather craft...

I'm so excited! After moving I just haven't had a space to craft in or any motivation but I just joined a swap so now I HAVE to get it sent out before Feb 7th.  And Michaels didn't have what I wanted (the one here BLOWS) so I'm going to have to try new things!  Exciting!

aliasgracie: -43C? Two questions popped immediately into my head...1) where the heck do you live and 2) WHY the heck do you live there?!   Seriously, I'm sure Sasketchewan is lovely...in the SUMMER. Stay warm!

As I sit here and whine that it's a "fa-reezing" 30 degrees F here (wimpy deep Southerner here), here's my February list:
1. lip-shaped wine coasters (must draft pattern)
2. "vacuum" bag for my husband's shop vacuum he's upcycled from my old stove vent motor3.

3. An Alot for my DD and maybe one for her teacher (from fleece, using Silverwing's ideas here on page 105 of this thread:

4. find or make up recipe for sweet chocolate chip peanut butter marshmallow CHEESE BALL that my daughter threw a fit over somewhere else. It was the hit of the sweets table at my son's birthday party, anyway, but it's gag-me sweet to me.

5. some sheep cards for my friends at Valentine's Day, possibly with Martha Stewart's heart potholders for one or two of them
6. find a chocolate muffin that's not too sweet for the group of friends who comes for breakfast every Wednesday morning
 (King Arthur Flour's version: light, touch of coffee, easy. Second recipe I tried=success!

Still working on January's list--fate's been making its OWN "50 in 50" for me to try and keep up with.
