I love the sock monkey. It never occurred to me to make a solid colored one. What a great idea.

I've completed 2 projects (with a bunch of wips). I need to take pics and post them. Maybe during nap time...

Still cranking along on my two big projects of the moment. I actually have run out of leftover yarn for the latchhook (personal swap, anyone?), so that's stalled out for the moment. Finished up some things for the OWS, but I have to stop swapping for a while due to money being tight.  However, I've been slowly thinking of more things I want on my list, and will hopefully get some done on them once the new semester starts to settle down.

waggonswest, those cupcakes look delicious! and alishamisha, I love the lime green sock monkey! It's so cute!

Racky, do you mean to say your pooch has it's own dining room? And just where in the house would that be? Wink

Well, it's actually the laundry room, but shhhh! She thinks she's special.  Cheesy

camisgirl4, you had quite a productive weekend. Have a list of 50 has been helping me motivate too.

It's the final full week of January and on my list of things to get done this month remains:
quilting on my raw edge circle quilt...slow going.
scrappy string quilt block swap project...mostly on track w/the piecing
Beyond the square motifs crochet-along...one to go! (need to see if any more have been added!)

However, I've got a bit of things added to my(weekly) list due to swaps and other new projects...they will carry over to February's list of items if they are not finished by then. =]
I think this group is so motivating and enabling = productive!!

I finished up project #11 yesterday and it kills me that I can't show off pictures!!  All I can say is that it is a monkey and it is absolutely adorable!!  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him yet -  book publishing attempt?  website item?  I just don't know yet.  We'll see.  I'm going to hold on to him for awhile I suppose.  He is just adorable though!

I made another monkey as well - yes, I'm in a monkey mood for some reason.  I've moved on though - I might have to make another kind of critter or robot or monster.. oh I don't know.  I'll figure it out when the hook hits the yarn...  Cheesy

Thread or Yarn, YARN OR FABRIC!! I know how you feel on that. Most of my things are for swaps, and so I can't post for quite a while.

I'll bet your monkey is precious.  Cheesy

It's funny - when I picked my user name I totally spaced that there is an incredible crafter here named Thread or Yarn - and I went and did Yarn or Fabric.  She must want to kick me and I don't blame her...  We get confused quite often.

The monkey is super adorable.  My oldest son complained that I used a red and brown variegated yarn to make him but I think it is just fabulous!
I want to make another one now but know I need to move on to another project I have going on that is really important to me - and I really really really need to get working on those runners for my bedroom!!  Sigh.  I wanted them done last fall... and I'm nowhere near close to getting them going in the right direction - I have started but changed my mind a slew of times already..

OH, oops! I got you mixed up. I always do that. Sorry. I'll go fix it. I know who you both are, but it's all the choices that confuse me.  Cheesy

I'm up to 8/50 already for this year! I'm so happy, especially because I'm doing so much better than last year!!! I have photos of the last couple, but they are on my camera at home, and I'm at work now (shhhh... my boss actually just came and talked to me right as I was catching up on this thread). My new goal right now is to get some of these small projects out of the way so I can have time to work on my bigger ones -- quilts, gardens, etc.

Everyone is doing so great! And rackycook, I might have to borrow that idea for my dog's "dining room" (a corner of the kitchen).
