Sweet Smiley I don't have a Cricut so thank you for sharing how you got the effect. Haha then again I don't have a lightbox either  Cheesy

You can make a lightbox super cheap. My husband is making me one with an old printer/scanner we have. There's a ton of tutorials on the internet, using a lot of different techniques.

Haha true true. Wait a sec, I just figured out a solution! My laptop screen! (It's a hard screen not the soft kind...like my terminology?  Tongue ) I could just put what I need to trace on my screen and then hold the paper up to it. Instant lightbox! I love bootlegging  Cheesy

That is what I do Smiley I have a light box and never use it!

Hahah good I am not alone  Grin

I actually have done this before when I make silhouettes. It is just so much easier to be able to make the silhouette with my Bamboo tablet then just zoom in/zoom out to get the right size. I just forgot that I did this. Duh Alisha! Now I can apply it to other things as well, like embroidery templates.

Aww batgirl your pup is adorable! May I ask what his/her name is?

Weird, I keep getting a funky error message when I try to go back and catch up on the bajillion pages I've missed.  Wow you guys are working fast.  I am going to count this weekend's efforts as a project.  Not my best work, but I made 80 mini cupcakes for a baby shower at our church.  I couldn't see spending $40 on a cake that is mostly left over, so I volunteered to do the cupcakes.  It worked pretty well since we also avoided the mess of cake cutting.

When I was decorating them it seemed like I was making way too many, but once they fit onto the cake stand and people started pouring in for the shower I started panicking that I didn't make enough.  Turned out just about right with a plate to send home with the parents to be and a few left for the football party.

Some hits and misses this past weekend-

Hits:
6 rows on baby sweater
ironed all rows for quilt blocks
made 6 notecards for swap

Miss:
Realized I had dropped stitches on my sweater so pulled out the 8 rows I had started, but now I have restarted and am writing down the steps so I can post a pattern when complete (like in December, lol)

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

I love that Bone Appetit plaque, and the cute doggie with his ball.
Racky, do you mean to say your pooch has it's own dining room? And just where in the house would that be? Wink

I just finished embroidering an eye which means...I have finished the Sock Monkey on my list(for my niece expected in early May). I chose a solid color so that way I can make clothes for it and not have prints and stuff collide. It's my first sock monkey. I originally bough a 3pack of socks to make myself one but then the news about Michelle came along.

This weekend I completed:
1.  Taggie blanket for friend's baby
2.  Taggie blanket for my Mum's friend in Australia
3.  Soft shoes for friend's baby
4.  2 bib clips for the above babies
5.  Produce bags for Mum
7.  Travel wallet for step-father http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=424783

I didn't take pictures of the other projects as I forgot until it was too late and handed them over to the post office to my Mum.   But I did get some of my stepfather's wallet that he will be using when he and my Mum head off to South Africa for 3 months.  I made one for my Mum a two years ago when they went to backpack around South America for 4 months....  My Mum is 67 and my Stepfather is 80.  I hope I am that active when I am 80!

I loved the dragon.  I'll probably add some amigurumi to my list at some point.  First I'll have to remember how to crochet, it's been years!

An easy light box is to use a small bedside lamp, an upside down side table and a piece of glass from a picture frame resting on the legs of the table.  The light sits under the glass.  A box or a clear tote can be used instead of the table.
