I made a table runner and napkins for my Mom for Christmas.

I used a Fly Foot block with diagonal quilting.

Also, matching Christmas Tree napkins courtesy of CraftSanity:

Both projects were easy and they looked great on her (large!) table.

Inside a dog it's too dark to read.

Looks good. I like the diagonal quilting with that block.

And I got napkins like that for Christmas from my Mom. Now I know where she got the pattern!  Wink

They're beautiful - and I hate to say this, but that table runner looks like it has swastikas on it to me. Which I happen to think is hilarious, but to some people Nazis are serious business.

They do look like swastikas - but the Sanskrit svasti, the symbol for Love, was around for a long, long time before a few dumkopfs twisted it around and made it ugly. Wink  I think they also look a little like peppermint twist candies, but that's just the way my mind works ...

Very cool!  I've been thinking of making cloth napkins, and these would be great gifts for next year!  I might even have to go buy some discounted Christmas-y fabric in the near future . . . . Cheesy

Just wanted to bump this up for anyone in search of a cool, easy Crhistmas craft idea- the napkins are TOTALLY easy to make and look really great!  I made a bunch for my whole family, and some for teacher gifts - I would post my own, but just moved and the house is a bit crazy at the moment, so bumping this up is the next best thing!

Merry Merry!! Grin
