The brown in the braiding is the brownish colored plastic bags groceries typically have.

You can find the template for Mommy and Me (and the other templates) if you go to the Craft Challenges page and click on Craft Challenge #57 - Chronicle Your Holiday!. There, when you scroll down you will find all the templates. Just scroll over them and click and it will open a PDF with the templates.

I know I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, but this is one of the prettiest up-cycle projects I've seen. My bf liked it so much he demanded i make one, and started pulling binbags out from under the sink!
