There are SO many excellent quotations for friends of all ages.

My current favorite is:  "A friend is someone who listens to the music of your heart, and sings it back to you when you have forgotten it."
Aw, that one makes me teary. How lame am I?!

I'd add quotes from his favorite song/movie or lines from books and such to the madness!

"Friend: one who knows all about you and loves you just the same"

I don't know where that's from, but I like it. I would search google for friendship quotes. That should come up with a few sites.

For some reason it doesn't seem lame to me (and I'm usually queen of the cynics) , but I have a friend of >30 years that it reminds me of.

Then, on the other hand, there's:
A friend will bail you out of jail,
a true friend will help you hide the body... Grin

Oooooops! I think I remembered the quote wrong.

It is: Friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies.

A friend is who you call to bail you out of jail. A best friend is the one sitting next to you saying "Damn that was fun!!"
