I'm a mail carrier and when I saw this hat I just knew I had to have one to wear on my route.  Since I deliver packages and XMas Cards all day I'm just like Santa anyways.  Smiley

I have to tell you....I've had vehicles stop in the middle of the road to scream compliments to me on this hat.  The compliments just don't stop....everyone loves this hat....young and old.



I haven't crocheted in years and would consider myself little more than a beginner now.  I'd never done cables but after watching the youtube video several times and tearing out the hat a couple times I finally got it!  woo-hoo!

I LOVE this hat but I can't crochet at all!!!

I'm trying to recruit any of my friends or their family members to make it for me!

Just curious?  What's the best yarn weight to use for this???  Worsted?? Bulky???
