Double Tail Santa Hat

^ ^ Eee! I really love this hat! Going to have to get the pattern! I am like, "oh crap... cables. @.@" but it looks worth it.

I'm a mail carrier and when I saw this hat I just knew I had to have one to wear on my route.  Since I deliver packages and XMas Cards all day I'm just like Santa anyways. 

I have to tell you....I've had vehicles stop in the middle of the road to scream compliments to me on this hat.  The compliments just don't stop....everyone loves this hat....young and old.



I haven't crocheted in years and would consider myself little more than a beginner now.  I'd never done cables but after watching the youtube video several times and tearing out the hat a couple times I finally got it!  woo-hoo!

Just curious?  What's the best yarn weight to use for this???  Worsted?? Bulky???

I just bought this pattern on etsy and can't wait to give it a try. It will be my first cabled crochet project.
